2008 Heifer - 12/8 "Jonbohon"

| Beautiful speckled and roan, red and white heifer
with a frosted face! The day after JB was born, the prairie fires
moved through. The flames were approaching and the calf could
not be found. We all walked the tall grass searching. Finally,
Shelly located the calf where she had gone over the cliff and become
isolated from the herd. She was weak, but able to walk part
way up the hill. Finally, at the cliff, she ran out of energy,
and our friend Jon carried her the rest of the way to her mom.
So, of course, this little gal's name is Jonbohon! |
